Grappler named among world's 100 most innovative InsurTech companies

Grappler, the purpose-built insurance accounting and financial operations platform, has been named in the 2026 InsurTech100, recognising 100 of the world's most innovative insurance technology companies.

Now in its ninth year, the InsurTech100 is compiled by specialist research firm FinTech Global. More than 2,100 companies were considered for the 2026 list, with finalists selected by a panel of analysts and industry experts.

Companies were assessed on the significance of the problems they solve, their innovation, growth and customer traction, and their potential to deliver meaningful improvements across the insurance value chain.

For Grappler, the recognition shines a light on an area of insurance that has historically received less attention than underwriting, claims and distribution, the complex financial operations that sit behind the movement of money.

As insurance businesses grow, finance teams must manage increasing volumes of policy transactions, payments, remittances and settlements, often across multiple systems and organisations.

Grappler connects the financial operations of insurance, automating complex processes across reconciliation and settlement to accounting and reporting. This gives finance teams a near realtime picture of their financial position, helps them close their books faster and enables insurance businesses to grow without adding more people to manage the workload.

Alistair Harold, Co-Founder and CEO of Grappler, said the recognition reflects the growing importance of modernising the financial operations of insurance.

“Insurance has come a long way in how it sells policies and looks after customers, but there's still a surprising amount of manual work involved in accounting for all the money moving around. It's complicated, and it doesn't need to be as hard as it is. We've spent the last ten years working with our customers to make it easier, and we're only scratching the surface of what's possible when the different parts of insurance start working together. It's great to see that work recognised alongside some really innovative companies from around the world.”

Originally developed to solve policy reconciliation challenges, Grappler has evolved into an end-to-end insurance accounting and premium settlement platform supporting insurers, MGAs, syndicates and broker groups across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Singapore.

Grappler joins 99 other companies recognised for their contribution to innovation across the global insurance sector.
