The 2026 5-Star Insurance Innovators report recognises organisations across Asia-Pacific that are using technology and new approaches to solve real problems within insurance.
This year’s report reflects a broader shift in the industry, with innovation increasingly moving into the core of insurance operations and delivering practical improvements for the people doing the work.
That’s familiar territory for us.
“The best innovation usually starts with a problem people have simply got used to living with. Insurance finance is full of them. We’ve spent the past decade questioning why things have to be so complicated, and finding better ways to do them," says Alistair Harold, Co-Founder and CEO of Grappler.
Grappler tackles a niche and particularly complicated part of insurance operations, accounting for money as it moves between policyholders, broker groups, MGAs, insurers and other participants in the insurance ecosystem.
The Grappler platform brings payment, policy, banking and remittance data together to streamline insurance reconciliation, accounting and settlement and give insurance finance teams visibility and control over their cash, while removing the manual work and complexity that sits behind it.
Grappler works with insurers, MGAs, syndicates and broker groups across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Singapore.
"Being recognised as a 5-Star Insurance Innovator for three consecutive years is something we’re incredibly proud of. More importantly, we’re still finding things to improve and new problems to solve – there’s still plenty left for us to fix," says Alistair.
A huge thank you to our team, our customers who continue to challenge us to do better, and Insurance Business for the recognition.
Three years. We’ll take that as a triple win. 🏆🏆🏆
