Grappler has been named a 5-Star Insurance Innovator for 2025 by Insurance Business, recognising our work automating some of the most complex and traditionally manual processes in insurance finance.
The annual Insurance Business 5-Star Insurance Innovators report recognises companies across Asia-Pacific that are moving the insurance industry forward through technology, new products and new approaches to insurance.
For us, the recognition is particularly meaningful because the problem Grappler set out to solve isn't always the most visible part of insurance.
Insurance has invested heavily in modernising the customer-facing side of the industry. But behind the scenes, finance teams are still dealing with spreadsheets, manual reconciliation and disconnected systems to understand how money has moved through the business.
Grappler was built specifically for that problem.
The platform automates complex insurance accounting processes including premium and claims reconciliation, trust accounts, creditor management and bordereaux, helping finance teams manage by exception rather than manually working through thousands of transactions.
And the impact isn't just faster reconciliation.
Grappler customers across Asia-Pacific are using automation to grow without adding equivalent finance headcount, shorten month-end, improve visibility over cash and give their teams more time to focus on higher-value work.
At Delta Insurance, reconciliation time has reduced by around 75%, while the business has continued to grow without expanding its finance team.
ATL Insurance Group has tripled throughput while reducing the resource required to manage the work, with month-end reducing from four weeks to one.
Emergence Insurance has scaled significantly while maintaining a lean finance operation.
"We're proud of the technology behind Grappler, but ultimately innovation only matters if it makes something better," says Alistair Harold, Co-Founder and CEO.
"For us, that means taking repetitive, time-consuming work away from insurance finance teams and giving them greater visibility and control over the movement of money through their business," says Harold.
"Being recognised as one of Insurance Business's 5-Star Insurance Innovators for 2025 is a welcome acknowledgement of that mission, and of the customers who continue to challenge us to solve some of insurance finance's hardest problems," says Harold.
