When Simon O'Callaghan joined SGUA as CFO, the finance team was handling significant premium volume manually. Two people were managing reconciliation across multiple distribution channels - intermediated, direct and property managers, and rapid growth was really stretching their capacity.

Between legacy data from a policy system transition and undocumented processes, the team didn't have the visibility they needed into the business's cash position.

SGUA had moved to a new policy system that didn't have the credit control module their legacy system had, so they needed a solution, and fast.

The alternatives were to find a credit control function they could bolt-on to a policy system, build one, or implement a purpose-built insurance accounting software platform.
